Scalp Micropigmentation

Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP) is a cosmetic treatment to camouflage hair loss.

Similar to a tattoo technique tiny dots of pigment are artistically placed on the scalp to recreate either the look of a shaved head or to disguise thinning hair.

SMP can be utilised in many different clinical scenarios i.e. in scarring alopecia’s where surgical hair restoration may be contraindicated, disguising scars from previous Follicular Unit Transplantation (FUT) or in conjunction with hair restoration surgery when the appearance of more density is desired.
