Our approach to hair restoration
We find your overall experience and final results are so much better when you talk to your surgeon, and not to a sales person.
That’s why Mr D’Souza always consults personally, one to one, with every client before any diagnosis is made and treatment plan recommended.
The team at The D’Souza Clinic have worked together for many years and with hundreds of clients. We focus on personal care that really is personal, our aim being to always make your journey to better hair a truly pleasant one.
1. Initial 20 minute phone / video call
We invite you for a quick call with Mr. D’Souza to discuss your symptoms, lifestyle, medical history and possible treatments. This initial call is designed as a stepping stone to a face-to-face consultation.
It may be possible / a better option to treat your hair loss with medication. If this is the case we will advise you on the best treatment available and arrange a follow up appointment to keep a check on your progress. We can arrange and deliver the whole process from the clinic if you want your treatment to be in professional hands.
If surgical treatment is an option we will invite you for a face-to-face consultation with Mr D’Souza at our clinic.
2. Consultation at our Harley Street Clinic
During your consultation, Mr D’Souza will take a full history and examination to determine the likely cause of your hair loss and confirm if you are a candidate for hair transplantation.
Following the consultation a full treatment plan with prices and dates will be provided for your approval.
3. Surgical Treatment
First, you’ll see Mr D’Souza to be briefed and we’ll take some photographs for before and after comparison.
The whole procedure is carried out under local anaesthetic and is pain free. The time taken is different from person to person and depends on whether you are having FUE or FUT as well as the number of grafts involved. Many patients bring something to listen to and help pass the time.
Once the surgery is finished a light dressing is applied and Mr D’Souza will go through your post-operative care. You’ll also get a post op bag which includes everything you need for your recovery.
If you’re not being collected after, we can arrange a taxi for you.
You’ll be called the next day for follow up. If you had FUT and want your stitches to be removed by The D’Souza Clinic we will make an appointment for you.
All patients are routinely seen for follow-up at 6, 12 and 18 months post op.
After your surgery, it’s important to stick to the post-operative instructions given so if you have any questions please ask.
We recommend you take a week off work, if possible.
We can arrange accommodation in London during your treatment
We can arrange accommodation for you at The Marylebone Hotel, which is a short walk from the clinic.
